Art is about learning the rules and skills, while discovering your own way of interpreting them. It’s an expression of your inner essence that makes art leap off the paper, not copying someone else’s work. I’ll help you explore your artistic strengths so you can concentrate on the areas where you shine and the professional portfolio you create will be anything but cookie-cutter.
The lessons are pre-recorded and stored on a USB, with content dripped out weekly. You receive a passcode to access that week’s content to watch whenever and wherever is most convenient for you.
You’ll also have access to an ongoing Slack community that will connect you to your vibrant and busy cohort. You’ll feel right at home amongst other passionate artists as you ask questions, brainstorm homework ideas and make wonderful new friends.
It’s truly the best of both worlds. The leisure and flexibility of self-paced learning alongside the warmth and dynamism of a live community keeps you motivated to stay
within the course timeframes. Our staff is here to see you through to the end successfully, and as a result of this model, we have a very low percentage of people who do not successfully complete the course.
The course launches once a year and runs for approximately 12-15 months with set assignments required by specific deadlines.
Group dynamics are a big part of motivation and accountability – yes, even when a course isn’t live – so all course members will be learning according to the same schedule, and at roughly the same pace.
You’re going to need at least 20 hours a week for watching the classes and practicing the techniques. This time will be satisfying and enjoyable for you as you learn fascinating concepts and express yourself within a framework.
There’s an old saying that you get what you pay for. At Berlinger Art Academy we cover absolutely everything you need to launch a proper digital illustration career – from A to Zed (yes, I’m British). 😉
